Lino Workshops and Teaching

One day reduction lino workshop at Stowe House on the Sunday 23th August 2024

A one day lino workshop at Stowe House, Buckingham, MK18 5EH *Please follow the signs for the Stowe School entrance

I'll show you how to create a small reduction lino print. A reduction linocut is a multi-layered print which is created by repeated cutting and printing from the same block of lino. The tuition is suitable for beginners or improvers. I'll provide all the equipment and materials you will need.

We will cover how to plan a design and transfer it to the lino; how to cut the lino; how to ink up the lino and how to print it by hand. You will also learn how to correctly register your prints so that all the layers of colour lay directly on top of each other. We will be using water based inks and soft cut lino. You will leave with a small run of prints.

Please bring along a few images that inspire you and a bite to eat for lunch. £80 per person.

Spaces limited! To book a space please visit the Stowe House website.

Or join me at Stowe, later in the year, on the 25th November 2024

Printmaking assistance and tips on Patreon...

I have set up a Patreon page as a place to extend the content I share on social media, the content goes into much more depth about how my work is created and why I am making certain decisions. I also provide helpful techniques, tips, resources for linocut printmakers and share demonstration videos. The content is suitable for anyone wishing to improve their printmaking practise and in need of some input, assistance and inspiration. It also serves as on-going support for those who have attended my workshops. I am adding information and articles to my Patreon feed regularly, as and when subjects come to mind or upon request from my patrons. The information is arranged with tags so you can see post that cover topics that are relevant to you.

This is all available for a small monthly payment, do take a look and see if it is something you will benefit from patreon.com/alexandrabuckle
