The following information, instructions and provisions form part of any contract you make with Alexandra to buy jewellery from her website.

Shopping on this website

The shop listings are placed at the bottom of every product page. You can click on the thumbnails to see a larger image. To select items to purchase click the ‘Add to basket’ button. Your shopping basket will appear at the top of the page, showing you the items you have selected, their price and a total price for the basket without postage and packing. Click ‘Hide’ in the shopping basket to create more space on the page.

Once you are happy with the selection of products you have chosen, click the 'Checkout' button. You will be taken to a page to enter your name and email address and to confirm your location for postage.

Please check the box to confirm you have read and understood the terms and conditions before proceeding to the payment page.

The payment page displays your basket once more. Please double check that all the information is correct before clicking on the pay now button. This will take you to Paypals secure site where you can enter your card details and pay for your items.

When Alexandra receives your payment she will email you to accept the order. Once she has done this, the order is confirmed and the contract made on the terms appearing here. Any orders which only contain items from the Ready-to-Buy Jewellery Shop, will be posted to you the next working day if the order is placed by 3pm.

You will be emailed once the goods have been dispatched. For delivery times see 'Delivery' below.

Using Paypal

Paypal is a safe, quick and easy way to pay for your goods online using a debit or credit card or your Paypal account. Alexandra will not have access to your card details at any point in the transaction and has no responsibility for the Paypal site or business.

Delivery

Delivery will be to the address that you have submitted to Paypal.

For UK customers, if your items total less than £50, your order will be sent by Royal Mail first class post at a cost of £2 for postage and packing; Royal Mail aim to deliver the following working day. If your items total more than £50 then your order will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day service at a cost of £5.50 for the postage and packing. Items should arrive by 1pm the next day and will be insured up to the value of £500.

For international customers within Europe, deliveries will be sent by Royal Mail Airmail International Signed For at a cost of £8.50 for the postage and packing. Delivery should take no more than 3 working days and a signature will be required on delivery. Items will be insured up to the value of £500.

For international customers outside of Europe, deliveries will be sent by Royal Mail Airmail International Signed For at a cost of £9.50 for the postage and packing. Delivery should take no more than 5 working days and a signature will be required on delivery. Items will be insured up to the value of £500.

All jewellery items come attractively boxed. Small items will be packaged in a bubble envelope so that they should fit through a standard letter box (if a signature is not required), larger items such as tiaras, or a collection of smaller items will not fit through a letter box.

Please email Alexandra if your jewellery has not arrived within the timescales stated above so that she can trace your package. In the unlikely event that your jewellery gets lost in transit, a refund or replacement will be arranged.

 
Basis of sale

For commissioned work, please be aware that once an order has been placed and Alexandra has accepted the order, it cannot ordinarily be cancelled unless you have a prior arrangement with Alexandra.

Although it is extremely unlikely to happen, Alexandra has the right to refuse a sale for any reason. In this event, any payments made will of course be returned promptly.

Returns

If you are unhappy with your jewellery once you have received it, you must contact Alexandra within the first two days of receipt by email, to discuss your concerns. Work can then be returned but it must be within 7 working days of receipt, with the original packaging, and you must pay for the return delivery unless the items arrived damaged or are faulty. Please retain a certificate of posting. Alexandra will refund your original payment.

Please be aware that commssioned work cannot be returned unless it is fauly or arrives damaged.

For faulty or damaged items, Alexandra will happily arrange a replacement for you and pay for the return postage.

If a piece of work is faulty, this should be apparent within the first 3 months of receipt. Please contact Alexandra if a piece of work develops a fault within this time. She will offer a repair or replacement depending on the circumstances. Alexandra will pay for the postage to return the jewellery.

A piece of work is not considered faulty if it appears to have been damaged after receipt either deliberately or by accident, or if it has been generally misused.

Copyright information

Alexandra retains the copyright to all site content including all text, photos, designs and finished work. Alexandra retains the intellectual property rights in her designs and finished work and may use images of your finished jewellery for publicity purposes.

Privacy

Alexandra takes the security of any personal information you provide very seriously. She will never knowingly disclose any personal information to third parties without your consent. She will only add you to her mailing list if you choose to be on it and you can easily opt out at any later stage.

Session cookies are used on this website to store certain information about your shopping basket on your computer, but only for the duration of your visit to the site.

Prices

Alexandra reserves the right to change the price of her work at any time without notice. However, changes will not apply after confirmation of an order.

If for whatever reason, you were unhappy about anything you experienced from purchasing on the site to wearing your finished work, please contact Alexandra as she recognises that your feedback is crucial to further improving her service.
